This was, hands down, one of our favorite projects. Perched high on a bluff overlooking Nauset Beach, this cottage received the life it needed to carry it into the next century. From the new 10-foot finished walkout basement to the mahogany shower surrounds, herringbone brick floors, custom bunk beds, and La Cornue range—no detail was left unturned. A seamless bowed-roof addition created new bedroom space, while exterior insulation preserved the interior’s original charm. Apparently, the editor at Coastal Living agreed.
